Kareena kapoor and Shahid kapoor not to promote 'Milenge Milenge'

Bollywood actress Kareena Kapoor and ex-beau Shahid Kapoor together to promote their film "Milenge Milenge" have been called off. While Shahid had no problems with the idea, producer Boney Kapoor feels the publicity would be doubled if the stars do the promotions individually.

Asked if he'd be willing to promote the film jointly with Kareena, Shahid said: "Yes, I'll do everything I can to promote it. Of course, I'll do everything in my power to see the film gets properly released. It's my film."

However, Boney Kapoor felt otherwise.

"We're getting Shahid and Kareena to do separate promotional activities. That way we give them space to be comfortable with the situation and also we get twice the publicity for 'Milenge Milenge' that we would if the pair promoted the film jointly," the producer said.

"Milenge Milenge" is special because the former couple will be seen together after Imtiaz Ali's lovable "Jab We Met" in 2007. Kareena is currently dating
actor Saif Ali Khan.

Shahid has not only decided to go all-out for "Milenge Milenge", he has also been taking interest in the release date to ensure that it hits screens at a time when it is likely to get the best audience.

Ra. 1 (or Ra. One) is an upcoming Bollywood science-fiction superhero film directed by Anubhav Sinha and starring Shahrukh Khan and Kareena Kapoor. The film is reported to have a budget of INR 1 billion, making it the second-most expensive film in India, after Blue, and equaling the record of My Name Is Khan's buyover for the same price. On 10 February 2010 Khan stated on Friday Night with Jonathan Ross that Jackie Chan "has been approached for a role in the film, and hopefully we will see Jackie in the film, also stating that he could not afford him because he is too expensive " The film will be produced under Shahrukh Khan's production company Red Chillies Entertainment.

Shahid Kapoor and Kareena Kapoor have ceased turning a blind eye to each other. At quite a number of occasions in the past, the two have bumped into each other but, far from meeting or saying an obligatory ‘hello’, behaved as if the other did not even exist.

However, things were different at the party hosted by Shahrukh Khan at his residence Mannat to celebrate the good run of his latest film My Name Is Khan. Given the friendly vibe that was in the air at the bash, Shahid and Kareena, who were among the guests, could not feign indifference anymore.

From what we hear, the former lovers met, exchanged pleasantries and started a conversation that lasted quite a while. Synopsis :

Avantika is a teacher in a university in Delhi. She has come back from New York where she teaches, because her father has suffered a heart attack. During this period, she meets a temporary Professor called Ehsaan Khan. Soon they begin seeing each other and love blossoms. A few months later, Avantika receives a call from her university in New York, asking her to come back for the Fall Semister. Avantika breaks the news to Ehsaan. He in turn, tells her he doesn’t mind coming to the States with her, to find a job. But first they need to get married. Soon after the marriage, they leave to start a new life in New York. They buy a house in an Indian neighbourhood and move in. Just as they are setting up home, their conservative Muslim neighbours, Hamid and Anjum, invite them over for dinner. The next morning, Salma, one of the women Avantika met the night before at the dinner, visits her under the pretext of gifting her sweets. When Avantika invites her in, Salma tells her that she is in grave danger. Nothing is what it seems. Salma pleads with Avantika to help her. What follows next, is a series of incidents that sucks Avantika into a vortex of danger and intrigue. As her life spirals out of control, Avantika realizes that she is a pawn in a huge game. And no one is to be trusted.
