Is Sonam Kapoor dating with Abhay Deol?

Sonam was the first one to enter and the last one to leave at Abhay's birthday bash on Sunday (March 15) . According to a source, the bash was only for Abhay's non-filmi friends.


"As there was no one from Bollywood, the duo were completely relaxed and did not mind being spotted together," informs a source.

Also, Abhay was among one of the few personal guests invited by Sonam at the Delhi-6 premiere.

We also hear that their 'friendship' is ssoon turning professional as well. The duo would also sizzle in Anil Kapoor's production Ayesha, based on Jane Austen's novel Emma. Apparently, Sonam had recommended Abhay's name for the role of one of the leads in this three-hero project.




She has always liked Abhay's choice of movies. Ayesha might well be Abhay's first dig at a commercial movie."

Bollywood hot & sweet actress Genelia D'Souza has three fun movies lined up for the summer campaign alongside some of the leading hunks in Bollywood.

The first of these is cricketing caper "Hook Ya Crook" with John Abraham. The David Dhawan movie also stars Amrita Rao, Kay Kay Menon and Shreyas Talpade.

Second on the agenda is Harman Baweja's "It's My Life". Directed by Anees Bazmee, it's a remake of Genelia's Telugu superhit Bommarillu, a romantic melodrama that in the original starred Siddharth in Harman's role.

The third movie on Genelia's list that should firmly entrench her in the top echelon of Bollywood stars is Life Partner. Rumi Jaffrey's film also stars Fardeen Khan, Govinda and Prachi Desai.

The actress clarified the news of her signing only YRF film projects by saying that she’s a professional in the field she belongs to and has been working since the age of 16 hence how contracts function is a known fact to her. She adds that the Yash Raj contract does not bind her to just YRF ventures and she doesn’t believe someone in today’s day and age would offer such a contract.

In fact, the actress is focusing on 'play' more than films as she takes on the challenge to learn the game of squash even if her brother Karnesh refuses to play with her! "Besides films, I have a life. I have a family to visit, books to read and experiences to gain," the actress explained when anxiously questioned about her priorities and her disappearance.

Big B and SRK back together again

Director Vivek Sharma whose debut film Bhootnath starring Amitabh Bachchan and Shah Rukh Khan in a special role went on to win a lot of accolades at the box office.



Now he is once again planning to have the superstars in his next film. The director is planning to launch his own production house Film Zone Productions very soon. The director has already zeroed down on two projects and plans to start the film by the year end.
“My first film is titled Buddham Sharanam Ghachchami and it is a very violent film. I am planning to have big stars in the film. My next script needs to have both the superstars. I have narrated the subject to Amitabh Bachchan, I have yet to narrate it to Shah Rukh. I am keeping my fingers crossed that he will agree to do my project” says Vivek.
Meanwhile director Vivek Sharma is ready with his next project titled Kal Kisne Dekha. The film has been shot on various locales of South Africa and New Zealand and stars debutants Jacky Bhagnani and Vaishali Desai (grand daughter of filmmaker Manmohan Desai).

“The film is all about a young boy who can see the future. He has supernatural powers. I had signed the film before Bhootnath but when Ravi Chopra appraoched me with Bhootnath I could not hold back. I was keen to work with Amjitji and Shah Rukh whom I consider my local guardian” says Vivek.

A heart-breaking news for the fans of big ticket Bollywood films is that two of upcoming summer’s biggest Bollywood releases – Kambakkht Ishq and Kaminey will be delayed.
Akshay Kumar-Kareena Kapoor starrer Kambakkht Ishq and Shahid Kapoor-Priyanka Chopra starrer Kaminey were due in the last week of May (May 29th) and first week of June (June 5th) respectively but now chances are they could be pushed further due to the ongoing revenue sharing issue between multiplexes and producer/distributors.

She can also be seen this month on the cover of FHM magazine in stunning mauve lingerie.

She took the opportunity at the L’Officiel event to also to talk about some of the difficulties she had in the making of her new movie KAMINEY with Shahid Kapoor – a story of identical twin brothers and their different paths in life. 'There's a lot of Marathi in the film, yes and it was very, very difficult because Marathi is a very hard language and I don't know it at all," she said.

Abhishek Bachchan destroys Priyanka Chopra’s mood.

The duo that used to share a good rapport is no more on talking terms. A rift has been created between them when Abhi adhered to perform on the same dance number at the Filmfare Awards which Priyanka Chopra had zeroed much before him.

Ex-Miss Universe Sushmita Sen was caught making quite a controversial statement this year at the Filmfare Awards. When she was asked to comment on the change in hosts this year, she commented, "We won’t miss Shah Rukh and Saif. We don’t look back, we look forward." This statement caused raised quite a few eyebrows within the industry and amongst fans.

Apparently, there is trouble brewing in the Sushmita-Shah Rukh friendship. Rumors have it that Sen is upset with SRK as he has delayed the release of her forthcoming Dulha Mil Gaya directed by "close friend" Muddasar Aziz. On the other hand, SRK too is upset with the producer of the movie, Vivek Vaswani who is promoting the film based on the single scene that SRK will be making a special appearance in. This caused the normally professional King Khan to refuse to shoot the scene, causing a delay in the films release.

Sushmita is naturally upset as she has not had a release in a while now and was looking forward to seeing herself on the big screen after a hiatus. While she has not accepted nor denied the situation, she did make her feelings known through her declaration at the award ceremony. Hopefully the situation is sorted out quick and "Dulha Mil Gaya" will see daylight of its release.

From being a father, Akshay grows to be a fashionable young dude of the swinging 70s with bell bottoms and wide belts. The script of Action Replay was ready before Brad Pitt’s film released. The cinema world’s best make-up specialists, led by Paul Pattison (Braveheart and Mission Impossible 2), are being used to give shape to this ambitious film. Film-maker Vipul Shah begins shooting this month and is expected to release Action Replay around November or December when Shah Rukh Khan’s My Name is Khan and Aamir Khan’s 3 Idiots are slated to hit the screens. "What we are attempting is very ambitious and it hasn’t happened in Indian cinema before" Vipul told BT.

"The film is an out-and-out romantic comedy but reversing time is the challenging element. We’re putting in a lot of effort to pull off this one. We have to keep improvising on our content and technical abilities all the time".

It’s arguably the most important day of her life. And Amrita Arora is naturally excited as she prepares for her Christian wedding to beau Shakeel Ladak. The nikaah (wedding ceremony) is two days later.

"We were supposed to have a church wedding today," Amrita chatters excitedly as the makeup lady does her most challenging job ever for the actress. "But there were some security hassles. So we quickly moved the venue to Olive. But no hassles because we always had a standby ready."

Amrita gives full credit to her sister Malaika for all the arrangements. I’m blessed to have such a supportive family. I’ve my wedding today(Wednesday 4 March) and I’m talking to you while my folks are taking care of everything. The bride got emotional as her mother reminded her she needed to hurry up with the dressing up.

But Amrita decided to get introspective. "You know, the minute I set my eyes on Shakeel I knew he was the man I wanted to marry. It’s like a karmic connection. I just felt it. I had never felt this before. Shakeel is everything that I want my husband to be. And I’m determined to make our marriage work. I’ll do whatever it takes."

Ask her about the honeymoon which will follow the sangeet on Thursday and the nikaah on Friday and Amrita shrugs, "The problem is, both Shakeel and I are so widely traveled we’ve nowhere to go that we can claim as being our private honeymoon spot. There doesn’t seem to be any place that neither of us has not visited. I guess we’ll just hold each other’s hand close our eyes and point to any part of the globe as our honeymoon spot. It doesn’t matter where we go as long as we’re together."

When asked about the new avatar, Riteish says, “My character in Rann is a totally different from the ones I have played. I wanted a new look and the crew cut gels very well with the character. In fact, the crew cut made me feel so light that the next morning I almost thought that I had gone bald! John in Sanjay Leela’s film

Someone’s loss is other’s gain. This happens in the world. But this takes place more in Bollywood. Well, John Abraham is replacing Harman Baweja.

The talks between John and Sanjay have been done and he will sign the film now. The shooting will take place in April.

A close source says, "Bhansali had signed Hurman for Chenab Gandhi since he was keen to work with the actor. Bhansali was also very happy with the look sitting that Hurman had done for Chenab Gandhi. Bhansali is disappointed that Hurman can’t be part of his film."

About the dates clash, the source adds, "Initially, Chenab Gandhi was scheduled to go on the floors in December but after it was delayed, Hurman has some date issues. Moreover, Anees Bazmee’s film It’s My Life has taken longer than expected to complete and Hurman is currently shooting for the film in Delhi."

Harman could not give the dates to Sanjay so John looted the scene.

Priyanka back together in Farhan's Don 2

One can recollect Farhan Akhtar’s Don remake Don – The Chase Begins being a mega Diwali release in the year 2006 and now Farhan is planning to make his "Don 2" sequel a grand Diwali release of 2010.


We had earlier asked Farhan about the shoot delay plans and he had replied, "Don 2 requires a summer shoot and since in the summer of 2009 both me and Shah Rukh being both busy with our acting assignments the shoot for our film will only begin next summer which is of 2010."

Our source however now reveals, "Don 2 which also stars Priyanka Chopra opposite SRK will start its shooting from April 2010. The director turned actor turned singer, who has been busy facing the camera with Rock On and Luck By Chance, has no time to wield the director’s baton until the summer of next year.

Our source further added, "Direction is Farhan’s first love and he likes to direct films, but only one film in two - three years. He did Dil Chahta Hai in 2001, Lakshya in 2004, Don in 2006 and so in 2010, one will see a film from him, for sure.
