Barbara Mori Biography:

Born in 1978 in Uruguay, Barbara Mori Ochoa is an actress with Uruguayan, Japanese, and Mexican blood. She was involved in acting and modeling, but her biggest role came in 2004 when she played Rubi in a telenovela for Televisa. She moved to Mexico as a toddler after her parents divorced and a decade later she was spotted by fashion designer Marcos Toledo while she was waiting tables. He asked her to model for him because he noticed her striking beauty and great body. She started a great career for herself and even had a son with actor Sergio Mayer.Barbara Mori loved the acting business so she began studying at El Centro de Estudios de Formación Actoral, the Center for Acting Studies.

Her first acting job was in Al Norte del Corazon, North of the Heart, which was a Mexican soap opera. After this, she was involved in Mirada de Mujer and Tric Tac. Barbara Mori won the award for Best New Actress for her work in Mirada de Mujer.

By 1998, Barbara Mori was considered a leading lady and was offered her first leading role in Azul Tequila alongside actor Mauricio Ochmann. In 1999 she acted in Me Muero por Ti and the following year in Ispiracion, which was aMexican comedy. Other work includes Amor Descarado as well as Rubi where she earned another award.

Indian film producer Rakesh Roshan has recently signed her as the leading lady for his upcoming movie Kites opposite his son Bollywood star Hrithik Roshan. To be shot in New Mexico, Las Vegas and Los Angeles, Kites is scheduled to go into production by the end of July 2008.

Biography:

Vidya Balan is a Tamilian from Kerala. She comes from a middleclass family from Palghat. Vidya did her schooling from St Antony's School and later on joined St Xavier's College from she graduated in sociology. When she was doing her MA from Mumbai University, she was offered a role in a Malayalam film. However, the project was shelved mid-way and Vidya had to wait for few more years to make her movie debut.

Vidya Balan made her debut as a model in a Surf Excel advertisement in 1998. She has acted in scores of ad films, most of which were directed by Pradeep Sarkar.

In the meantime, she acted in Bengali movie Bhalo Theko with actor Joy Sengupta. She even won the ‘Best Actress’ Anand Lok Puraskar in Kolkata for her performance in the movie.It was in Mumbai, during a pop concert, when filmmaker Vidhu Vinod Chopra approached her to play the female lead in his movie Parineeta, to be directed by Pradeep Sarkar.

Vidya has a very traditional Indian look in contrast to most of today's Bollywood starlets.
